Tramping plan to Milford
I always thrilled by the idea of backpacking, but at the same time always not sure If I ever gonna make it. It's not only because the amount of money that gonna be spent (i'm poor and my income is still kinda average or below average), moreover the schedule that are seem impossible to go away from office for too long. I don't know, If I really want to make it true than i have to plan it well ahead while I'm still fit/young. Okay, I'm still young (even most of friends insisted me to settle down at this age..or at least that what common people here does)....now while i'm still free for my own earning..I really want to make it happen. To be honest, this idea was trigged yesterday when I watched a program in discovery-travel&living TV-channel about "milford" in New Zealand. The view there are just so beautiful, amazing reminds me to Lord of The Ring movie kind of views, and all of the sudden I start to think again about backpacking idea. Well, I know I need to start saving for the trip, and of course getting fit; need to exercise, tramping in a cold weather need a serious level of fitness. Will I ever make it? Not sure, at least by that time, (hopefully) i will be a GFE already (means; earn more)...yeah, I have to finish this GFE business as soon as possible.
I remember my tourist trip couple years ago to Canada; around Edmonton, Jasper and Rocky Mountain. The view was breathtaking and was amazing, not to mention the fresh and unpolluted air. I really want to have that kind of experience again.
Back to the backpacking idea; New Zealand, I'm thinking the southern island part, Ford national park; Milford and some other hike spots. When? People said best time to go is november-april. So maybe early 2010. A month away from the hectic lifestyle here. Anybody care to join?
I did my own research; cost, more info about milford, more info about new zealand in general.
